An Answer to your PayPal Demands!

December 5th, 2007

PayPalGlobalTestMarket Why Don’t You Use PayPal?

We are peppered with this question all the time. GlobalTestMarket is currently discussing this option with PayPal, and we hope to have an announcement during the first few months of 2008.

Why does it take so long to hook up PayPal?

On average, GlobalTestMarket distributes $150,000.00 per week in redemptions to our membership. Our lawyers and accountants want to establish new procedures and make sure we are compliant with laws and regulations. We also need our Development team to coordinate with PayPal. This is not an overnight project by any means, and we are expediting this partnership as fast as we can.

We never favor making announcements before we can deliver our promise, but with so many inquiries from our members we felt an update was appropriate. GlobalTestMarket is listening to your feedback.

This will be another plus plus for global. My only question will be if you do implement paypal will a fee be deducted from our money requested or will we get the full amount of the money requested. Tabitha

    Tabby,

There will not be a fee charged to our members for using PayPal. Also, PayPal will not be an exclusive means for redeeming. We will still offer our current option of receiving a physical check through the postal service. Thanks for your question.

Yes, I think this is a great idea, especially for people who are new to taking online surveys like myself. It makes me more comfortable using PayPal, and I’m sure it will attract new users.

PLEASE GET PAY-PAL ASAP. IT GREAT FOR THESE TYPES OF PAYMENTS. ALL THE OTHER SURVEY COMPANIES USE THEM AS AN OTION TO PAY YOU IF THATS THE PAYMENT YOU REQUIRE. BUT IN MOST CASES, IF PAYPAL IS ON THE SITE, UNLESS YOU ARE REQUESTING A CERTAIN TYPE OF GIFTCARD, MOST PEOLE GET THE PAY-PAL OPTION. PLEASE, GET THE PAYPAL ASAP. ITS SAFE,AND IT IS GOING TO GET US OUR MONEY MUCH QUICKER, AND THAT MAKES FOR HAPPY PANEL MEMBERS……..

    Christopher,

I am working on this and moving it as fast as I can. We are currently waiting on PayPal to setup a training session with our Finance team. Before GlobalTestMarket launches this option we need to make sure everyone here understands how to execute their tasks without error.

Moving money in PayPal from one account to another is easy. Moving large sums of money to thousands of accounts at once is a little more tricky. I will ping my PayPal contact today and express our membership’s excitement for PayPal. Thanks for commenting.

I do not live in the US but have been using Paypal for a long time. Their support staff are efficient and helpful and will respond quickly to any queries.

As I intend to join your program and encourage others to do so, it would indeed be very convenient to be paid via Paypal. Thanks Garth for your initiation and blog news on GTM and I look forward to a long association with this online opportunity.

    Any updates on Paypal?

    Brandon,

They are a bit frustrating at the moment. Our contact is not responding, so I am reaching out to someone at a higher position than our contact. I hope they will then expedite the process when they hear about our inattention.

I hope that you can get the deal with Paypal straightened out soon. I would love to be able to get paid through Paypal. I’m sure it would be quicker. Thank you for trying so hard to get it started.

    PAYPAL , PAYPAL, PAYPAL, Grrr…

I also had a few questions for you:

    1. How many days will the paypal redemption take – 2/3 days or a week?

    2. Since you will be doing Mass Payments, will the minimum still be $50 or will it be reduced to say $20, which is great

    Your inputs please….

    Roland,

    1. I am not sure to be honest. That is an answer someone in Finance can answer, and until we are ready to plugin the PayPal option I am not sure they are addressing it. However, I do expect it will be exponentially faster than receiving a check via the postal service.

    2. We are looking at reducing the minimum redemption threshold. Again, my team needs to work with Finance and they will be making the ultimate decision.
